The definition – what are protein bars?
Protein bars, protein snacks, protein bites – no matter what you call them, they all mean the same thing. But what exactly are protein bars?
As you can guess from the name, they contain protein, also called “Eiweiß”. This is an important nutrient for your body and especially your muscles.⁴ Most protein bars are also reduced in sugar and contain fewer unhealthy fats compared to regular chocolate bars.
